Which jacket should I buy for my cat?

Every cat and situation is different and must be considered before purchasing the right jacket or harness for your cat. Making the wrong decision can prove costly, so this page is dedicated to the features and differences in our designs to help point you in the right direction.

Things to consider.

Your cat’s personality. Has your cat got a chilled personality where nothing seems to faze them when they are out and about? Or do you have a cat that is very reserved and jumps at every noise they hear? Maybe you have an aggressive cat who likes to control you. All these things need to be taken into consideration when deciding on what to purchase.

For a timid or aggressive cat, our "Original design" is recommended. This design gives you the best overall control over your cat and for timid cats it gives them a sense of security, similar to a thunder jacket.

Another consideration, the environment. Are you going to be away from home or will you be close to home? A jacket or harness that is escape-resistant is critical if you are away from home, as your cat will find it almost impossible to find its way safely home to you. If you are just walking around your home, normally your cat will head for home once it escapes the harness or jacket, but if it has to cross a busy road it is critical you have the best escape-resistant jacket or harness on your cat.

Some people want jackets to be cool as they live in hot or humid areas, wearing a minimal jacket or harness places your cat at risk of completing a full escape, having less to escape from makes the escape quicker, leaving you with less time to act. It is best to implement other changes to keep your cat cool. I recommend firstly the Original design or secondly the Double H Harness.
