ARE YOUR WALKING JACKETS ESCAPE-PROOF?
Our walking jackets are not escape-proof, as there are so many factors that go into whether or not a walking jacket is escape-proof. If you miss any of these vital steps or do them incorrectly, you risk a complete escape being achieved by your cat when it is having a fight-or-flight response or behavioural changes. I believe that there is no such thing as an escape-proof harness or walking jacket, all you have to do, is go to the ratings section of those companies who claim their harnesses and jackets are escape-proof and read the one or two-star reviews, that can be found on Amazon. You will in most cases read of someone’s cat getting out of those escape-proof jackets. Honestly and integrity is just as important, if not more important, than a sale. Please take time to read our article on this vital topic by clicking HERE.
HOW LONG IS IT BEFORE I GET MY CUSTOM-MADE JACKET?
After payment and measurements are received, jackets will be posted within 10 business working days. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee postage times.
HOW DO THE CUSTOM-MADE JACKETS SECURE?
To make your adjustable walking jacket secure, line up carefully the length and width of the hook and loop (Velcro), this is what is securing your cat into their jacket. So please take your time utilising as much of the hook and loop as possible. Pressing together firmly to allow the hook to embed deeply into the loop, this should be a firm fit, but at the same time, a comfortable fit. The neck area should allow for up to one or two fingers to slip between the jacket and neck area, our custom XL walking jackets, also come with a side release buckle.
HOW DO I PLACE THE CUSTOM MADE JACKET ONTO MY PET ?
Always start by gently placing the jacket onto the back of your pet. Then place strap around the neck to hold it in place, while you firmly secure the under belly area, then go back to secure and adjust the neck strap.
If this is the first time in using our walking jackets. We recommend that you allow your pet to slowly adjust to wearing their new jacket inside the home and allowing your cat to get used to wearing it, along with getting used to the sound of the Velcro being opened and closed, This will help with the successful use of our product. Please supervise your pet at all times. As this product is not to be used at any time unsupervised. If your cat goes low to the floor after placing their walking jacket on, do not be alarmed, as this is normal, once they get used the feel of the jacket this will soon change.
HOW DO I WASH THE CUSTOM MADE JACKET ?
Washing : We recommend spot cleaning first and foremost or gentle hand washing and line drying in the shade. Keeping your hook and loop together in the secured closed position when washing, this reduces lint and fur building up in the hooks that may be floating around in the washing and rinsing water.
Dry all metal attachments and embellishments thoroughly, remove any removable embellishments prior to cleaning.
If your walking jacket has glass rhinestones, do not wring, as twisting may cause some of the stones to come off. Do not use a dryer, as the glue on the back of the rhinestone may reactivate and cause the stones to come off.
Ironing: Use caution. cool/warm iron. Do not iron directly over or around the Velcro, or any other embellishments as they can melt.
CAN YOU MAKE MY JACKET IN A DISNEY OR AFL PRINT.
No, due to legal reasons we can not resell, nor even giveaway any hand made products in licensed prints.

DO YOU MAKE KITTEN WALKING JACKETS FOR OTHER KITTEN BREEDS?
No, The smallest kitten jacket is suitable for Maine Coon kittens who are between 4 and 6 months old. Since this breed is large, it is not suitable for other breeds.

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER TIPS THAT MAY HELP ?
Yes, before each use: Always try to keep the hook and loop clear, by not allowing fur and fluff to build up, as this will reduce the security and strength of the hook and loop, you may have your own method to do this. You can try a firm, not to stiff, bristle brush to gently clear the hook area, even a firm toothbrush is another way to reduce build up, go in one direction when brushing and a lint roller or squidgy to clear the loop area, you can carefully use tweezers and even duct tape to help remove build up.
Note: If your cat becomes unsettled and starts to try and back out of their walking jacket, quickly release the tension in your lead, this normally stops this action, as tension in the lead helps with an attempted escape. It is like you holding someone's jacket, while they pull their arms out. Also when walking, try not to walk in front of your cat, let them take the lead.
